Configure AI phone bots to handle incoming calls
## Setting Up Your AI Assistant
### 1. Get a Phone Number
- Go to **Settings → AI Assistant → Numbers**
- Click "Get Number" to purchase a dedicated phone number
- Cost: $9.99/month includes 100 SMS and call minutes
### 2. Create an AI Bot
- Navigate to **Settings → AI Assistant → AI Bots**
- Click "Create Bot"
- Configure bot settings:
- **Bot Name**: Give your bot a descriptive name
- **Greeting**: The first message callers hear
- **Phone Number**: Assign your purchased number
- **AI Template**: Choose a pre-built template or use custom prompt
### 3. Voice & Speech Settings
- **Voice Selection**: Choose from natural-sounding voices
- **Speaking Plan**: Control timing and pauses
- Wait Seconds: Pause before bot starts speaking
- Punctuation Pauses: Natural pauses at commas/periods
- Interruptions: Allow callers to interrupt bot
### 4. Transcription Settings
- **Model**: Deepgram Flux (recommended) for best accuracy
- **Noise Suppression**: Reduces background noise
- **Advanced Mode**: Enhanced transcription capabilities
### 5. SMS Auto-Response
- Enable SMS to automatically respond to text messages
- Configure greeting message
- Set AI instructions for SMS conversations
- Set quiet hours to respect customer time
### Testing Your Bot
1. Call your assigned phone number
2. The bot should answer with your greeting
3. Have a natural conversation
4. Review the interaction in **Agent Dashboard**
